Automated Resource Management Associates, Inc. (ARMA) is seeking an Intermediate Systems Administrator to support its client. Only candidates with at least a SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE can be considered for this position.

The incumbent is responsible for administration of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) IT infrastructure, supporting all of the work of the OIG enterprise. This includes the public website for the OIG; the internal intranet (TIGNet); the Exchange system, the Investigation Management Information System (IMIS), the Office of Audit TeamMate system, the virtual private network (VPN), the storage network, and all related databases.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university; or equivalent education/experience in the computer science field.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in system administration
  • System Administration including planning, implementing and supporting variety of Microsoft servers and applications and Hyper-V
  • Windows Server 2008-2012, Exchange 2010, SQL Server 2005-2014, Active Directory, Windows 7-8 * Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning, performance monitoring and development
  • Experience in Microsoft SCCM 2012 / SCOM 2012
  • VMware and SAN experience (setup, maintenance, replication, etc.)
  • Experience administering SharePoint 2010
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Working experience performing Microsoft Exchange Server migration
  • Certified in Tenable Nessus and Forescout 

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Manage Exchange Server, anti-spam and anti-virus configuration
  • Ensure Active Directory administration, system security and event log monitoring
  • Manage the design, maintenance, monitoring, development, and support of Windows servers, Virtual servers, and SQL servers
  • Configure and manage MS Systems Center Configuration Manager and/or MS Systems Center Operations Manager for software installation, patch automation, monitoring and alerting.
  • Provide state-of-the-art solutions for high availability, fault tolerance, backup and disaster recovery
  • Benchmark, analyze and report on the Windows infrastructure and systems
  • Work with lead systems administrator in installing, configuring, deploying and maintaining our Hyper-V and VMWare environments and Storage Area Networks
  • Work with Desktop Support to practice asset management for Windows hardware, software, and equipment, and ensure that asset management policies are adhered to by the team
  • Document policies and procedures pertaining to Systems Administration
  • Other duties as assigned
